Ticketmaster settled a $400 Million lawsuit back in May, and that means that you may have some complimentary tickets waiting for you in your Ticketmaster account.

If you used Ticketmaster to buy tickets from October 21st, 1999 to February 27th, 2013 then you should probably go check your account.

Around 50 Million customers will be awarded free tickets because of the settlement that is set to compensate customers who were overcharged for their tickets.

Last month, emails under the subject line “Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster Class Action Settlement – Notice Regarding Discount and Ticket Codes” began going out, alerting users of the lawsuit, which was filed in California Superior Court.

Finding out if you have tickets is easy enough.  Just log into your account from a PC, because the mobile site doesn't always show "active vouchers" tab.  There are three types of vouchers people can receive,

  • Discount codes, that can be used toward future ticket purchases
  • UPS discount codes, that can be applied to UPS charges in the future when buying physical tickets.
  • Ticket vouchers, that can be used to get two tickets to upcoming, eligible events.

It's easy to check your account, just log in and see if there are any active vouchers in your account.  If you have any questions concerning the settlement, there is an extensive Q&A located here.
