The Tigers have pulled a major deal during the Winter meetings by trading Rick Porcello to the Red Sox for Yoenis Cespedes.

There were plenty of conflicting rumors around the Tigers trading or signing Porcello going into this off season.  Now that the trade is official, the Tigers have moved one of their solid starters for one of the games best hitters.  The Tigers also get pitcher Alex Wilson and a minor leaguer.

Both Porcello and Cespedes are going to be free agents at the end of 2015, and will both be demanding a pretty big paycheck.

The trade works out well for both teams, but the Tigers now really need to work on their bullpen issues.

The Tigers have also picked up starting pitcher, Alfredo Simon, from the Reds for Eugenio Suarez and Jonathon Crawford.

Are these the moves that put the Tigers over the hump and back into the World Series talk?
