Tragedy Strikes Performers During Ringling Brothers Circus In Rhode Island [Video]

A group of acrobats known as the 'Hairialists' fell 30 feet to the ground, after the structure supporting them failed in the middle of their show.

The incident happened in Rhode Island during a performance of the Ringling Brothers Circus over the weekend.

11 people were taken to the hospital, 9 of whom were Ringling Bros. employees.  One of the injured was last listed in critical, but stable condition.

The acrobats were hanging by their hair nearly 30 feet from the ground, when the support failed.  So far there have been no clear signs as to why the structure collapsed.
