YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Quando Rondo Sued for Alleged Violent Attack
YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Quando Rondo have found themselves in some legal trouble stemming from an alleged attack against YoungBoy's former DJ.
According to a March 13 report from Baton Rouge, La.-based publication The Advocate, the two rappers are being sued by a man who claims they attacked him in South Carolina back in December 2018.
On Monday (March 11), a man named Carl Capers filed court documents in Baton Rouge alleging that YoungBoy (born Kentrell Gaulden) and Quando (born Tyquian Bowman) punched and kicked him while he was working as a DJ and tour manager for YoungBoy. The alleged incident is said to have taken place during YoungBoy and Quando's Dec. 21 show in Florence, S.C.
In his suit, Capers states that the show was abruptly canceled due to various reasons, including a fight that occurred between YoungBoy and a member of the audience. Once he and the rest of the crew were escorted backstage, Capers alleges that Quando told him to go back to the scene of the fights and secure a member of Quando's entourage. Moments later, Quando allegedly began attacking him without provocation. During the altercation, YoungBoy jumped into the scuffle. Video of the incident, which can be viewed below, subsequently circulated on the internet.
Capers claims he suffered a bloody face and a cracked tooth during the attack. He also says his reputation was smeared within the entertainment industry following the incident. He is seeking unspecified damages.
This lawsuit comes after prosecutors in Baton Rouge said they wanted to revoke YoungBoy's three-year probation and make him serve a suspended 10-year prison sentence stemming from his November 2016 drive-by shooting case.
This request from prosecutors came after YoungBoy Never Broke Again was arrested for disorderly conduct in Georgia in February after he and his girlfriend allegedly got into a physical altercation with the housekeeping staff at a hotel they were staying at.
The rapper's attorney, James Manasseh, told The Advocate on Wednesday (March 13) he wasn't familiar with the alleged December 2018 fight involving YoungBoy and Quando or the lawsuit against both but would look into them.
