I think I am the magnet for the idiots of the day awards. I seem to daily find people doing dumb and outrageous activities. Today I find a California kid who jumps over a moving car and fails but lands miraculously on his feet.
The sequel to Marvel's Thor is almost here starring Chris Hemsworth, but the question is will it be enough to satisfy us til the next Avengers movie? Probably not.
The 2013 MTV Movie Awards winners, though by no means as hyped as, say, the 2013 Oscars, are a fun affair nonetheless. Most of the awards, with exceptions to the "specialty" categories, are voted on by the fans, which means many of the titles that got snubbed during awards season now have another chance for the recognition many believe they deserve.
As the world knows already, character actor Frank Grillo was recently cast as the villainous Crossbones in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' These days, when you're lucky enough to find yourself in a Marvel movie, it seems as though you're gearing up not just for one flick, but for two or three. (Unless you're Hugo Weaving.) So does that indicate that Grillo's Crossbones will be making an appearance in a certain mega-gigantic-super-sequel that is scheduled for a May 1, 2015 release?
The majority of good TV may have been postponed for the night on account of that dastardly hurricane everyone keeps talking about, but hopefully the matter will be swept under the rug by Wednesday night for an all-new 'South Park!' Last week brilliantly channeled 'The Shining' as Stan endured "A Nightmare On Facetime," but what will the latest outing bring? 'The Dark Knight Rises' hit theaters this past summer to high box office numbers and continued to "rise" in popularity as word spread about Christopher Nolan's last film in the 'Dark Knight' trilogy. And soon, one of the biggest hits of the summer, which gave 'The Avengers' a strenuous run for its money, will be coming home on Blu-ray and DVD. What better way to get pumped than to relive the glory of Batman's final hours in the trailer for 'The Dark Knight Rises' Blu-ray combo pack?
With Halloween just a few weeks away and our obsession with dressed-up animals still going strong, we have been led into the most wonderful of all Tumblr lands with our latest discovery.
Perfectly timed to coincide with the DVD and Blu-ray release of 'The Avengers,' eFX Inc. has announced the first items in a large slew of cool, collectible prop replicas inspired by the Marvel Universe have now gone on sale. For one, the vintage Captain America posters as seen in 'Captain America: The First Avenger' can be yours to take home, but there's still so much more to come.
Every movie wants to get in on the post-credits bandwagon, the most recent one being 'The Avengers'' sneak peek at Thanos, but apparently 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' is trying to join in. Certainly a surprising film to feature a stinger, most would probably agree, but it's been such a fan-driven series that it has to be considered something of a parting gift to the folks who made it so huge.
Samuel L. Jackson is by far one of our favorite tweeters, thanks to Jimmy Fallon who taught the celeb how to use the social media site. For one, he made the 2012 Olympics that much more entertaining with statements like, “Did that Russian just do the ‘whoa Gurl Whut wuz in That Drank, dat Sh*t wuz Skrong’ Vault landing?!” However, his most recent sentiments regarding Hurricane Isaac threw people into a bit of a tizzy.
