Amber Alert Issued After Car Was Stolen In Detroit With Baby Inside UPDATE
An Amber Alert has been issued for Michigan after a Detroit man reported that his car was stolen while his 3 month old daughter was inside.
The man told police that he went into a liquor store at around 1am this morning, and when he came out the car was gone.
His daughter, Dakota Grimes, is three months old, and was sleeping inside the car when it was stolen.
Police say the car is a white four-door Chevrolet Impala with a license plate, number CPG8598, that didn't belong on the car. They say the girl was wearing a pink onesie and a coat.
The car also had damage on the driver side bumper, along with a trunk that won't close completely. If you have any information, please call the police immediately, or you can visit the Amber Alert website here.
Sources are reporting that the baby has been found safe on a porch in Detroit.
