Birdman is capitalizing off his newfound viral popularity with a brand new song called "Respek," and he's shooting the video for the track in his hometown tomorrow (May 2).

Soulja Boy even dropped a snippet of the video, and in it you can hear Birdman rapping his "Put some respek on my name" line from the now infamous interview.

Ever since he swept through the Breakfast Club, Baby's become at once the center of a million memes and recognized as a marketing genius. What better way to promote his first solo album in seven years, Ms. Gladys, dropping this June, and the second Rich Gang album after that, than to do exactly what he did. The guy knows how to drum up a buzz.

In addition, he'll be talking with Ebro on Hot 97 Monday morning at 7 A.M. E.S.T, according to Ebro, who says he asked Baby about Carter 5, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, and much more. Keep it locked to XXL. We'll let you know how the interview goes.

A couple weeks back and soon after we broke the news about Baby and Slim writing a Cash Money biopic, XXL dropped by the studio to see what Birdman was up to. He told us about the new wave of Rich Gang talent, but also said to expect Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan on there as well.

“Thug is my little bro and I fuck with Quan too," said Baby. "I’m going to always make sure they’re a part of this.”

Thugger and Quan seem to have distanced themselves from Birdman and the whole Rich Gang thing, so we'll see how that plays out, but for now get ready to Birdman's new track soon.
