Dev Announces A New Album And Tour
Dev is hitting the road to support her debut album, ‘The Night The Sun Came Up’.
The California native will kick things off in New York City on March 28, the day after her highly anticipated new album is released. From there, she’ll travel around the country and to Montreal, wrapping the 17-date run in Morrisville, N.Y. on April 27.
Fans have already heard several songs from Dev’s forthcoming LP, including ‘Bass Down Low,’ ‘In the Dark’ and her latest single, ‘Naked,’ which features labelmate Enrique Iglesias. ‘Kiss My Lips,’ Dev’s collaboration with Fabulous, is also included on the album track list.
“I just can’t wait for everybody to sort of see us,” Dev told PopCrush in October 2011. “I feel like we’ve matured a lot with our sound. The album is very personal, even like the dancer songs, if you listen to what I’m saying, it’s very personal, but it’s still youthful because I wanted to capture that.”
The new mom continued, “Even though now I’m embarking on motherhood and marriage and stuff like that it was important for me in this album to reflect the past three years and the journey of everything, and I think the next album will reflect everything I’m going through now, obviously. So yeah, there’s a lot of fun stuff.”
