Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters have worked out a new deal that could get Flint the $170 Million in water aid that was originally blocked.

The original energy budget that had placed that money for Flint was eventually blocked by Utah Republican, Mike Lee.  He protested the money designated for Flint, and the bill eventually went on without it.

Now, Stabenow and Peters have teamed up with other Senators to push through $170 Million in federal grants and loans to replace the Flint water infrastructure.

The money isn't just designated to help Flint though, as $50 Million would go toward lead prevention programs around the country.

The money is going to be included into a larger water bill that will be voted on by the Senate as early as next week.
