Good news, General Motors is looking to spend $200 million in Michigan. Looks like the automaker is ready to come back home.

GM announced earlier today that will spend $140 million in the Orion Assembly Plant for tooling and equipment. In Pontiac Metal Center, the automaker will spend $40 million for new dies.

There will not be any new jobs added but the funds will be taxable. The significant amount of money invested in our area is great news.If GM continues to re-invest in Michigan, our economy may turn around.
