ILoveMakonnen Is Back to “Sellin” Dope on New Track

He may not sell molly anymore, but ILoveMakonnen is back to “sellin’ the dope.” The OVO rhymer/singer just dropped his latest single “Sellin” off the sixth installment of his Drink More Water series, which he also dubs as his third album, Drink More Water 6.

The trap lullaby finds the newly slimmed-down rhymer offering his signature sing-song tone and catchy lyrics that will have everyone and the band humming along. “I’m selling dope, I’m selling dope, boy I’m back to selling the dope/ Call my phone pull up, boy I’m selling the dope,” the Atlanta MC sings on the hook.

But the ex-street pharmacist isn't going back to all of his old habits. After his song "Tuesday" blew up Makonnen was going though some "dark things," according to his December 2015 interview with Fader. It was during that time when he abandoned his fitness regime and "let himself go."

He got back to eating healthy and working out after realizing his partying lifestyle and certain foods made him tired 15-minutes into his 45-minute performances. He also revealed how he plans to stay fit. "It's really just jumping up and down on stage. And eating foods that I know are not gonna make me tired while I'm on stage and after," he told Fader.

With his new album on the way we are sure Makonnen is going to hit the road again. “Sellin,” is the first official single off the album, which is set for March 18 release according to iTunes.
