Lecrae is back and has a lot to say on his "Can't Stop Me Now (Destination)" single. The new record finds the Grammy-award winning MC rapping about depression, betrayal, police brutality, faith and so much more. The record is off his upcoming album, which doesn't have a release date yet nor a title.

"Last year I was feeling hopeless/I just wanted it to end/People stealing money from me, man/I swear I thought that we was friends/And I was so depressed, I was such a mess/I couldn't shake it off/Another murder on the television/Man, somebody go turn it off," he raps in the first verse.

“Can’t Stop Me Now (Destination)” officially begins Lecrae's journey following a huge 2014 when he released his album Anomaly, which topped the Billboard 200. He went on to sign with Columbia Records in May in partnership with Reach Records.

The MC and novelist — he penned his book titled Unashamed earlier this year — spoke about the inspiration for the song in a recent interview.

"It started with a journal entry that I then wanted to bring to fruition as a song," he said. "It wasn’t intended to be a single. But when people put their ears to it, they said man, people need to hear this perspective. It’s me being raw, real and as transparent as I can be. The loss of lives from Michael Brown and Eric Garner to Tamir Rice and Philando Castile … these men and boys represented people who could be my family: nephews, cousins, brothers. So it grieved me deeply. I found that when I spoke about this, there was a large contingent of people with whom I may have shared similar beliefs in terms of faith. But they were completely on the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of sharing my grief for the loss of these lives."
