According to Washtenaw County Public Health Department one person has the virus due to traveling to an area where the Zika virus was active.

Michigan is now up to its sixth confirmed cases of the Zika virus. The person who is infected with the Zika virus isn't the first travel-associated case of the deadly virus. The first case of the Zika virus occurred in February in Ingham County.

48 people so far in Washtenaw County have been tested for the Zika Virus.

The Zika virus is a virus is spready by mosquitos and sex. Symptoms of the virus include feaver and rashes, headaches, muscle pain, and pain behind the eyes (including itchiness and redness).

There is currently no vaccine to cure the Zika virus.
