While President Donald Trump continues to try and make America great again, Snoop Dogg has something else in mind. On Thursday (Oct. 19), Snoop released his new song, "Make America Crip Again."

Rapping over a Ben Billions-produced beat, which samples Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick's "La Di Da Di," Snoop tackles issues facing society today. "The president says he wants to America great again," he raps. "Fuck that shit, we going to make America Crip again."

Snoop also addresses Black-on-Black violence, rapping, "Just imagine if we stop shooting our own kind/I'm a Crip with no color lines/That mean I'm color blind/I learnt that/Turnt that/Willie Lynch, burnt that/G-status, earnt that."

While the song appears to be making a political statement, Snoop said "it's just good music." He added, "Certain people feel like we should make America 'great again,' but that time they’re referring to always takes me back to separation and segregation so I'd rather 'Make America Crip Again.'"

In his statement, Snoop continued, "In my lifetime, that’s when young black men in impoverished areas organized to help their communities and to take care of their own because society basically left them for dead. A lot of people glorify the gang-banging and violence but forget that in the beginning, the Crip's main and sole purpose was to be the reflection of the Black Panthers. They looked after kids, provided after-school activities, fed them and stepped in as role models and father figures."

"M.A.C.A." isn't the rapper's first time dissing Trump on a song. Earlier this year, Snoop dropped the video for his song "Lavender," which featured him pulling a gun on a clown version of Trump. The controversial video led to responses from Senator Marco Rubio and the president himself.

Snoop's latest track will be featured on his upcoming album of the same name. Set to release on Oct. 27, the eight-song project will include features from Chris Brown, OT Genesis, Shon Lawon and more.
