Snoop Dogg Names His Top Three Rappers of All Time

Snoop Dogg has been in the rap game for at least the last 26 years, so any chance to get his take on tenants of the industry is a golden opportunity. Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel took that chance last night when the Dogg Father pulled up on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

During the episode, Kimmel asked Snoop, whose album Neva Left is on the way, for his top three greatest rappers. Snoop’s answer? Slick Rick, Ice Cube, and of course, himself. Nice.

Just before offering up his list of his three favorite rappers ever, Uncle Snoop reveals that he was first inspired to rhyme by Jimmy Spicer’s song, “Super Rhymes.” He also explains that he wrote his first song, titled “I’m a Poet,” at the age of 11 or 12, but when asked if he remembers any of the bars, Snoop simply responds by saying, “It was garbage.” Have to respect his honesty.

Elsewhere in the interview, Snoop once again recounts the time he and Tupac Shakur went parasailing. It’s just as funny as the first time we heard it.

Peep Snoop’s conversation with Kimmel in the video just below. The revelation about his first song ever comes in at the beginning of the video. He lists his favorite rappers just a few seconds after that. He revisits his parasailing with ‘Pac story at the 1:08 mark.
