Star Wars Characters Will Visit Flint Barnes & Noble

R2-D2, Clone Troopers, Storm Troopers and even a Jedi Knight will be at the Flint Barnes & Noble Saturday October 6th, but don't worry the force will be with you.The appearance is a part of “Star Wars Reads” which is a program designed to promote literacy and is being put on by Lucasfilms.  The Star Wars franchise goes well beyond the movies, spilling over into novels, comic books and other written platforms.

Along with the chance to get up close and personal with the Star Wars characters, there will be readings of Star Wars books, giveaways and raffles.  The Flint Barnes & Noble will be one of thousands of stories and libraries involved in “Star Wars Reads” and is a perfect opportunity for Star Wars fans young and old to get closer to the stories that they love.

Fans will have an opportunity to have their picture taken with the Star Wars characters on Saturday, October 6th at the Flint Barnes & Noble from 1 to 6 p.m.
