Suge Knight and Dr. Dre have quite the history together. When Suge was starting Death Row, he recruited Dr. Dre away form N.W.A to become a producer for the label. But after just a couple years, things went awry and Dre left to start Aftermath at Interscope. All these years later, issues are still brewing between the two.

Suge is now suing Dr. Dre for cutting the former Death Row head honcho out of his Beats By Dre deal, reports TMZ. According to Suge, he signed a lifetime management deal with Dre that entitled Suge a 30% cut of all Dre's entertainment earnings. That would include the deal Apple cut with Dre for his headphones, but when the tech giant put $1 billion on the table, Suge was apparently never notified.

Now he's looking for his 30% cut, which would amount to $300 million.

In 2014, Suge was shot seven times while attending a club called 1 OAK during the BET Hip Hop Awards weekend, and as he's said before, Suge believes the shooter was sent by Dre. Knight believes that was how Dre sought to keep him out of the Apple deal.

Suge Knight is currently in jail for the alleged murder of Terry Carter. Suge was involved in a hit-and-run on the set of the Straight Outta Compton movie that left Carter dead and another man, Cle "Bone" Sloan, injured in the hospital. Elsewhere in the new lawsuit, Suge claims Dre and Universal paid Sloan, implying Sloan would knock Suge off.

A lawyer for Dre tells TMZ, “Given that Dre has had zero interaction with Suge since leaving Death Row Records in 1996, we hope that Suge’s lawyer has lots of malicious prosecution insurance.”
