September 28, 2011 Turns out that the new "The Thing" movie is not a remake of the classic Carpenter movie but a prequel. The question that has people looming is " should you mess with a good thing?"
I was highly upset when I first heard of the release of this movie. Why would you tamper with a classic movie? That's like "The Shinning" spin offs they never work and never will! The movie industry is in a serious drought when it come to creativity. I wonder whats next. Scarface II "The Yayo Chronicles".
A lot of movies nowadays lack that "special thing" to set it apart from other movies. And from the trailers s I can tell this movie lacks it too.
Whatever the case look out for it in theaters 10/14/2011.

Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman starred in No Strings Attached which came out earlier this year, now the same movie is being released a few month later on July 22nd with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis titled "Friends With Benefits". Not only are the titles similar, they mashed up both movies and they both seem to have pretty much the same plot line.
