‘Tha Carter V’ From Lil Wayne Will Drop May 5th According To Drake [Video]

If you believe Drake, then Lil Wayne's 'Carter V' album is coming very soon.

Drake was performing at The House of Blues in New Orleans for the NBA All-Star Weekend, when he told the crowd that 'Tha Carter V' was coming May 5th.

The announcement came just days Young Money VP of promotion Mel Smith said that the label was "very close to dropping the album."

If it's all true, "Tha Carter V" will come almost three years after the release of "Tha Carter IV." That album went to No. 1 and sold 964,000 copies sold in its first week.

The question is, can Wayne have that type of success again after being out of the spotlight for so long?
