Tigers Announce Max Scherzer As Game 1 Starter + Win Tickets To Game 3 In Detroit

The Detroit Tigers kick off their American League Divisional playoff series against the A's on Friday, and Max Scherzer will bring his 21 wins to the mound.

The Cy Young favorite is the only 20 game winner in in baseball, and hopes to get the Tigers off to a great start Friday night.

Justin Verlander is in the unfamiliar position of starting game two, after being the teams ace in the last two playoff runs.  Anibal Sanchez is starting game 3 and Doug Fister will start game four if necessary.

Overall the Tigers pitching rotation is the best in baseball, and if they are all clicking at the same time, Detroit is the favorite to win the World Series.
