In the heat of athletic competition, high school athletes can lose their cool from time to time. That's exactly what happened to one high school soccer player in Utah who decided to knee her opponent right in the face.

During a recent match between East High and Woods Cross, East High's Petiola Manu was battling for position with Makenzie Clark of Woods Cross in front of the goal. As Clark falls down on the pitch, Manu decides it is the perfect time to take a cheap shot at her opponent as she delivers a shot to Clark's face. Surprisingly, there was no yellow or red card issued by any of the referees calling the game.

After the video went viral, Petiola apologized to Clark for the knee to the face.

We guess it's better than the usual "my bad."
