Music festival season is in full swing. After the amazing sets we saw at SXSW last month, the next big lineup to watch is the fete known as Coachella. On April 10, the annual festival that attracts celebrities, fashionistas and hippies alike, takes over Indio, Calif.

None other than Drake is one of the headliners at Coachella this year, which spans three days over two weekends. With his wildly successful If You're Reading This It's Too Late burning up the charts and headphones everywhere, we can imagine a full set that includes tracks like "Energy" and "Madonna," not to mention, "Know Yourself," which features our favorite rap saying of the moment: "Running through the 6 with my woes."

The Toronto superstar joins a lengthy list of hip-hop and R&B performers that span the globe. Veterans like Raekwon and Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan, who have been rocking festivals for years, will play alongside relative newcomers like European imports Stromae and FKA twigs. Keep your smartphones on record too, as there will no doubt be moments of onstage controversy with outspoken rapper Azealia Banks and funny gourmand Action Bronson slated to hit the stage.

With DJs, including Kaytranada and Flying Lotus helming the playlists, the desert crowds are sure to be dancing well into the night. Check out the 10 Most Anticipated Hip-Hop and R&B Acts Performing at Coachella 2015.

    Action Bronson

It's a good time to be Action Bronson. The Queens, N.Y. rapper just released his debut album, Mr. Wonderful, to commercial success. The prolific performer has been selling out venues around the world (during which he's been known to sing with a guitar and toss fans off the stage) with tracks like "Baby Blue" and "Easy Rider." Rock out into the sunset with the gastronomic rapper.

    Azealia Banks

With her hip-hop beefs and Twitter tirades, it's sometimes hard to remember that Azealia Banks is a performer, and a pretty good one at that. Controversy has worked in her favor here and there, putting the Harlem, N.Y.-bred artist on the radar of those who may never have paid attention to her and her new album, Broke With Expensive Taste, otherwise. With all eyes in her direction, it'll be very interesting to see if the brash Banks can show and prove on the Coachella stage.

    Drake

Drake has us all running through the 6 -- and whichever city you call home -- with our woes. With If You're Reading This It's Too Late on heavy rotation around the country, the Toronto rapper is a perfect choice to headline Coachella. Aside from tracks like "10 Bands," "Know Yourself" and "Energy," expect the seasoned performer to bring out crowd favorites like "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Marvin's Room" in a rap-and-song extravaganza.

    FKA twigs

FKA twigs is one of the hottest newcomers in music. The British import has won hearts (including actor Robert Pattinson's) with her unique, whispery R&B with 2012's EP1 and the following EP2. The accomplished dancer released her debut album in 2014, LP1. So prepare to witness her perform tracks like "Two Weeks" and "Pendulum" out West.

    Flying Lotus

Flying Lotus is a man of many talents. The producer, DJ and artist has released a slew of successful albums, including 2012's Until the Quiet Comes and 2014's You're Dead! Known as Fly Lo for short, the L.A. native has collaborated with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat and Snoop Dogg. Perhaps K. Dot will hit the stage with the producer at Coachella to perform their collaboration "Never Catch Me" or "Wesley's Theory," off the rapper's sophomore effort, To Pimp a Butterfly.

    Kaytranada

When Kaytranada hits the Coachella stage, expect a dance party. The DJ and producer is known for remixing popular tracks like Pharrell's "Happy" and Common's "I Want You" as well as his own cuts. With 13 projects and 16 remixes under his belt, there's no shortage of music on his playlist to keep the party going.

    Raekwon & Ghostface Killah

It isn't a festival without Wu-Tang Clan. Partners-in-rhyme Raekwon and Ghostface Killah will be performing in Indio and we hope to witness the brothers from Shaolin take the stage for classics like "Ice Cream," not to mention tracks from the ample Wu discography like "C.R.E.A.M."

    Stromae

Stromae brings international flair to the Coachella stage. The talented Belgian singer has been bubbling overseas for a few years, with his 2010 Cheese album, which featured the hit "Alors on danse" ("So We Dance"). Kanye West remixed the song with Gilbere Forte in 2010, bringing Stromae's sound to a universal audience. He's been making increasing waves in the U.S. with his 2013 LP, Racine Carrée. "Papaoutai" ("Dad, Where Are You?") became the biggest single in Belgium in 2013 and was remixed by Angel Haze. Now he's taking on social media in his new video for "Carmen." Get familiar with Stromae.

    The Weeknd

The Weeknd is headlining the closing day of the festival and we already know it's about to get very sexy as a result. The Toronto crooner is sure to make the crowd swoon with his recent hit "Earned It" from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, as well as cuts from his classic House of Balloons album. Abel is ready to set the mood.

    Vic Mensa

Chicago rap is popping and after newcomers like Chief Keef and Chance the Rapper, Vic Mensa is next in line for the throne. The young rapper turned heads with songs like "Orange Soda" and his indie release INNANETAPE in 2013 and has been amping up his live performances ever since. He showed out at SXSW 2015, performing several tracks from his forthcoming Traffic album, so expect to hear some new tracks at Coachella. Need more reason to watch? Kanye West's cosign. The superstar doesn't just work with anybody and there's a reason he's been collaborating with Vic Mensa on songs like "Wolves."
