After teasing the project for several weeks, 21 Savage is preparing to drop his brand new album just in time for Christmas.

On Monday (Dec. 10), the Atlanta rapper confirmed that his sophomore album, I Am > I Was, is scheduled to drop on Dec. 21. Although fans thought the LP was set to drop earlier this month, the "Ric Flair Drip" rapper revealed the album title and cover art instead.

As a treat for impatient fans, Savage also previewed his new song "Immortal" in the newest video game trailer for Mortal Kombat 11.

Back in April, 21 Savage spoke about his new album for his XXL cover story. Although he doesn't give too much away, Savage said that his upcoming LP will take us back to his original gangsta style. “I’m going back gangsta,” he explains. “I’m going back to what brought me in the door. All that other music be cool. I don’t be knowing what the fans want ’cause it be like...they want, like, the ‘Bank Account’ music, but I don’t know. I wanna get back on some gangsta shit ’cause I feel like everybody rap about money and cars. Like they say I rap about too much guns and shit, but that’s what the hell be going on. That’s what really be going on, like, in real life.

Along with the album's release date, 21 Savage also debuts his new line of exclusive merch based on his forthcoming LP. The online shop features a slew of products on sale now like t-shirts, long-sleeve tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, keychains, skateboards, dad hats, jackets and viper chokers. Every item comes complete with a digital version of the album.

21 Savage's album will arrive shortly after the "Rockstar" rapper earned his first-ever Grammy nominations after his collaborative effort with Post Malone was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Performance for the 2019 Grammy Awards. His LP will also come a month after he landed himself on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list along with Post Malone, Juice Wrld, Lil Pump, Rico Nasty and Russ.
