Amazon to Hire 1,000 Full-Time Employees in West Michigan

Amazon is looking to fill 1,000 jobs at a new fulfillment center in Kent County.

If you are in the market for a job and don't mind it being in the Grand Rapids area, Amazon is hiring. Amazon's new fulfillment center in Gaines Township in Kent County is looking for 1,000 full-time employees. The 850,000 square-foot facility is about four miles south of Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

All Amazon employees receive a $15 per hour minimum wage. Along with that pay, Amazon offers a benefits package that includes comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance, a 401(k) with a 50% match, parental leave, and training for other in-demand jobs. All candidates must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates that are hired will be picking, packing, and shipping customer orders and work alongside advanced technology and automation.
