For those looking to hit the theatre over the Christmas break, AMC Theatres are now open.

Many families have a tradition of going to the movies together during the Christmas break. My family is the same. Many years we will all head to the theatre on Christmas day when the theatres open to take in a flick. This year is obviously a bit different.

AMC Theatres are now open in Michigan but will be following recent orders from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. If you are a fan of that delicious, buttery, movie popcorn, unfortunately, you will not be able to partake in that. The AMC Theatres in Michigan are not offering concessions and no food or drinks are allowed in the theatres. All 12 of the Michigan locations opened on December 21st.

If you do want to take the family to the movies, you can even reserve an entire theatre for up to 20 of your friends and family. AMC Theatres has 12 locations throughout Michigan and those are located in the following areas:

  • Auburn Hills at 4300 Baldwin Road
  • Clinton Township at 35705 S. Gratiot Ave
  • Dearborn at 18900 Michigan Ave
  • Fort Gratiot at 4350 24th Ave
  • Holland at 12270 James Street
  • Livonia at 19500 Haggerty Road
  • Ludington at 3857 W US 10-31
  • Madison Heights at 32289 John R Road
  • Saginaw at 4511 Fashion Square Blvd
  • Sterling Heights at 44681 Mound Road
  • Traverse City at 3825 Marketplace Circle
  • Walker at 3000 Alpine Ave NW

If you plan to go to the movies, have fun, enjoy, and keep the spoilers to yourselves. Merry Christmas!
