BREAKING: Pedestrian Bridge Collapses Over I-94 in Detroit

There are no reports of injuries at this time.

The Townsend pedestrian bridge in Detroit collapsed on top of WB I-94 around 5:20 this morning.

WB I-94 at Van Dyke are closed. Vehicles must exit at Van Dyke and can re-enter at E. Grand. The eastbound lanes are still open temporarily; when the equipment arrives to remove the bridge, the EB lanes will be closed as well.
