Late night TV just got a little less edgy, as acid-tongued host Chelsea Lately has announced that she will end her 'Chelsea Lately' talk show when her E! contract expires at the end of the year.

The show, anchored by the host's acerbic wit, has aired for eight years. While the ratings aren't what they once were, Handler still draws impressively in terms of viewership, and she is the only female holding her own in the late night sausage party. #ChelseaPower.

For her part, Handler has been vocal about her displeasure with her network home, calling it a "failure" at one point.

Her new manager told The Hollywood Reporter, "Chelsea intends to leave when her contract expires. She hired me to figure out her life after E! We have at least seven suitors and many ideas."

Those ideas could entail some sort of stint in radio and/or a nightly or weekly show on another network or digital service. Given Handler's deliciously devilish style of comedy, the later, the better!

E! was diplomatic in its response, saying, "Chelsea has nine months left on her contract and E! will not comment on the future of 'Chelsea Lately' at this time."

Some of our favorite guests on Handler's hilarious show include Jennifer Hudson, Lindsay Lohan, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Wanted and Wiz Khalifa.
