Claressa Shields continues to rewrite the women's boxing history books, and this weekend Flint will hold a celebration in her honor.

The Claressa "T-Rex" Shields celebration isn't just to honor her historic unification of all four women's middleweight belts. It's to celebrate how much she means to the city overall.

I don't want to take away from her accomplishments, but I want to shine a light on the way she has done them. Claressa is a constant, positive ambassador for Flint. She does things the right way, and I can't think of a better role model for kids in Flint.

The celebration happens this Saturday at Berston Field House. The doors will open at 3pm and the first 250 fans will get an autographed picture of Shields. There will be a light program at 6pm, and admission is free.
