Claressa Shields Cleans Up On Her First Pro Debut
Flints very own Claressa Shields made her pro debut over this weekend at the T-Mobile arena in Vegas and result came out as expected from the two time Olympic gold winner.
Shields steps into the ring for her first pro debut and completely shuts down her opponent Franchon Crews. Shields upon stepping into the ring put on a clinic for crews in the super-middle weight fight. Now this being a new setting for Shields people were interested in seeing how she would hold up competing without headgear.
And from the looks of it. She didn't have a problem at all...
“It was really different getting hit with the head gear off, but I proved a lot to myself and everyone else,” Shields said. “The gloves are smaller, and even though I have never KO’d anyone, I know for a fact that I can! I came so close.”
