Claressa Shields Wins Big At Nick Kids Choice Sports Awards Show

Flint's own Claressa Shields was back in the spotlight last night as she took home the Biggest Powerhouse award.

Nickelodeon featured some of the biggest names in sports last night for their Kids Choice Sports Awards show.  Stars from all over the sports world opened themselves up to getting slimed over and over again.

Claressa Shields was nominated for the Biggest Powerhouse award, and had some huge names going up against her.  In the end though, the kid from Flint came out on top again!

She has always represented Flint so well, and it's fitting that she win a Nickelodeon award because she has always served as a great role model for kids in our city.  We are so proud of you Claressa, and thank you for always being someone that a kid from Flint can look up to.

Shields wasn't the only athlete representing our area though.  Andre Drummond took part in the slime race.  He didn't win, but you could tell he was having a great time.
