Colarado Marijuana Sales Set Record With Over $122 Million In July

Legal marijuana is a big hit in Colorado setting a new state record for monthly sales with over $122 million.

Colorado's marijuana shops set a monthly record in sales for the month of July with $122.7 million in sales for medical and recreational marijuana products.

Marijuana dispensaries in Colorado sold over $83 million in marijuana products and $38.9 million in medical marijuana sales during the month of July.

July 2016 sales had a 27 percent increase compared to July 2015 and more than $5 million more than the previous record held in April 2016.

Colorado dispensaries have sold more than $720 million in marijuana sales from January till the end of July. The state has raised over $105 million in taxes and fees that will go towards educational programs.
