As an all-star with a nickname like Big Game Dame, Damian Lillard doesn't lack for confidence. If you follow him closely enough, you know he has that same confidence in his abilities as a rapper. He made that last point perfectly clear during a recent conversation with the folks at TMZ.

Making his way through an airport yesterday (July 25), the lifelong rap fan fields some questions about just where he thinks he stands in the current crop of rapping NBA players. While he doesn't get all that aggressive with his claims, he makes it clear whom he thinks is best.

After a reporter asks him if he'd call himself the best rapper in the NBA Dame responds with a simple, "I would." When asked about whether or not he's better than the Los Angeles Lakers' Lonzo Ball, Dame, who raps under the moniker Dame D.O.L.L.A., replies with a, "Yeah."

Elsewhere in the brief back and forth, Dame says that every rapper who takes rap seriously is in the conversation to be the best MC in the NBA. He also makes it known that he's got no plans to make rap a full-time career.

While there have been plenty of semi-serious rappers in the NBA's history, Dame definitely holds a spot as one of the more conscientious ball-playing rappers. Back in October 2016, he dropped off his official debut album, The Letter O. Just about a year later, he unloaded his sophomore LP, Confirmed. With a solid flow and collabs with Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and more, Dame is no joke on the mic.
