Demolition Begins On Showcase East Cinema In Burton [Video]

Showcase East closed in 2007, and the building has been standing empty since.  Demolition crews took their first chunk out of the old theater yesterday.

The building is probably most famous for debuting 'Roger and Me' from Michael Moore.  Moore even tweeted about the theater coming down.

The demolition is expected to be done in about a month, and no plans for the vacant lot have been announced.
