A Detroit mother is facing charges after her two children were left unsupervised and yelling for help from their front porch in Detroit on Sunday.

Two children aged 6 and 8 months were left unattended in the city of Detroit and have been taken to the hospital after screaming for help from their front porch.

Reports say the 6-year-old child went outside and screamed for help which alerted the neighbors. A neighbor took both girls to the house and then called the police.

Police arrested 25-year-old Sara Maria King with two counts of second degree child abuse. King is currently in jail on a $75,000 bond.
