The rock n' roll restaurant chain, Hard Rock Cafe is set to close their Detroit location early in 2019.

According to the Detroit Free Press,  the Detroit location is set to close on January 26th, 2019.  The restaurant is located in Downtown Detroit on 45 Monroe Avenue across from Campus Martius Park.

The chain has locations through out the world and the Detroit location first opened in 2003.  This location is closing but the Hard Rock Cafe brand wants to stay in Detroit. They are open to having another restaurant if the right location can be found.

All of the locations feature music memorabilia and the Detroit location featured items from many Motown greats, Eminem, Ted Nugent and more.

This location is one of the few i have personally had the chance to visit.  I remember it for not only featuring the Detroit area memorabilia, but for the time I spent there after a rained out Detroit Tigers game.

Thankfully if you want to visit a Hard Rock Cafe you don't have to travel very far.  Michigan has one other location which is inside Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo.
