According to the Tri-County Times, the noise and or shaking you felt was a natural gas line explosion on Runyan Lake Road, north of Center Road in Tyrone Township. Reports also indicate that Consumers Power that the following roads be shut down,

  • U.S. 23 and Old U.S. 23 in both directions between White Lake Road and Center Road.
  • Runyan Lake Road.

Luckily, I have not heard or read about anyone being injured. This is a developing story, and I will update this page as additional information is available.

Did you hear the boom? If so, let me know where you were. Tony LaBrie said he could feel his desk shake here in Burton.
