If you love singing karaoke and more importantly have a great voice, this contest is for you. Picture yourself on the Flanagan's Pub stage singing your heart out for not only the $500 cash prize but a trophy and definitely bragging rights. If you are interested in participating, I have the answers to all of your questions.

How do I get involved in the contest?

Contestants must win one of eight prequalifying events at Flanagan's Pub to compete in the finale. Prequalifying events are judged by audience votes. Dates to qualify are as follow,

  • Friday, February 25th
  • Friday, March 4th
  • Friday, March 11th

Please note all of the above prequalifying events are from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. There is no entry fee and if you don't qualify, try again the following week. Don't give up.

When will the grand prize winner be determined?

The grand finale of Lapeer Karaoke Star Search at Flanagan's Pub happens on Friday, March 18th at 8:00 PM. The grand prize winner will be determined by three local judges, one of them being me. I am so excited to be a part of this contest. Additional judges include,

Will contestants be using the same microphone?

Sanitary disposable microphone covers will be provided to all contestants.
Can I bring my family and friends to cheer me on?
Of course, spectators are definitely encouraged. Please note, all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 9:00 PM.
