It's time for young baseball players in Flint to break out their bats and gloves, because signups are just around the corner.

For the last 26 years, the Flint Coalition Youth Baseball League has been giving young kids in Flint the chance to learn America's past time.

Sign ups for the 2017 season are coming up Friday June, 2nd at Fire Station #5, located at 3405 Western Road (between Richfield Road and Leith Street).  Sign ups start at at 6:00 p.m. and will go till approximately 7:30 p.m.

Kids as young as 4, or as old as 15 can sign up to play ball this year.

If you have questions about signups or league activities you can call Sam at 810-234-2173 or visit their website.

Even if your child has never played baseball before, this is an instructional league where they can learn the game from ground level.

Growing up playing baseball, I know how important it was in teaching me how to be a teammate, and how to learn from different coaches.  The things you can learn on the field go so much deeper than catching, hitting, or throwing.
