It's the first of its kind and it actually sounds like a lot of fun!

This summer, the Flint Fire Department is holding their first-ever "Camp Fire" summer camp for kids ages 12-17.

“Our mission is to provide young girls and boys a safe environment to gain strength and knowledge while building confidence and leadership skills,” said Flint Fire Chief Raymond Barton.

They emphasize that it will be a physical, intense, hands-on program, but it's FREE OF CHARGE.

The boys and girls camps are separated: boys are June 17-21, girls are June 24th-28th.
