We have good news, Flint is no longer the most violent city in America. The FBI has released new statistics that show Flint is becoming safer.

In the first six months of 2013, violent crimes decreased by 26 percent.  The efforts of the Flint Police Department and State Troops are given credit for the positive strides to decrease homicides, robbery, and aggravated assault.  Flint Police Chief James Tolbert said on his roll call yesterday,

"I want all of you guys to give yourself a round of applause."

The past three years Flint has landed on the number spot as the most violent city.  We're not out of the clear because we're number two on the list now.  Curbing the crime by almost 30 percent is a lot but we have to continue to drop our rank on this list.
