Flint’s Andre Dirrell Heading Back to the Ring in December on Showtime

Flint's own Andre Dirrell is returning to the ring in December for a bought on Showtime. The brother of WBC champion Anthony Dirrell is ready to climb back to the top. Let's make sure we support him!

Dirrell will be in the IBF Eliminator against Derek Edwards (27-3-1, 14 KOs) on Friday, Dec. 19. The fight will take place in Quebec, Canada and will give Andre another chance to prove to the world he's ready for a Froch rematch.

According to MLive, Dirrell spoke on his excitement to return to the ring for the third time this year since August.

"I'm excited to be back on the fast track and I'm ready to show that this is definitely where I belong," Dirrell said. "It takes time to move back to the top, but I like to improve myself each time I step into the gym. I almost feel like I've been overworking myself in the gym to prove that I'm back."
