HBO to Spotlight District Detroit After Ilitch’s Unfulfilled Promises [VIDEO]

What some are calling unfulfilled promises made by the Ilitch family to develop the area known as 'District Detroit' are going to be highlighted tonight after a five month investigation. HBO's 'Real Sports' takes a look at the area surrounding Little Caesars Arena tonight at 10.

Critics say that Ilitch Holdings promised to bring residential housing structures, and commercial and retail business space to the area after Little Caesars Arena was completed -- but then dialed back development plans once construction on LCA was complete.

In the video below, Francis Grunow, chair of the neighborhood advisory committee, contrasts for WDIV the difference between the plans that were made and what has been done so far.
