There are a lot of fun, safe ways to get the kids out this week for Halloween around the Flint area.

First of all, cool your heels - Halloween isn't canceled, just modified a bit. Your kids can still dress up, go out and get all the candy candy candy.

Trunk-or-Treat has been popular for the last few years and, this year, it seems to be the safe, go-to Halloween event.

Here are the Trunk-Or-Treat drive-thru events happening this week throughout Genesee County:

THURSDAY, OCT. 29th:

Doyle-Ryder Elementary, 1040 N. Saginaw St. from 4:30-6:00 PM

Pierce Elementary, 1101 W. Vernon Drive from 4:30-6:00 PM

Southwestern Classical Academy, 1420 W. 12th St from 5-7 PM

FRIDAY, OCT. 30TH:

Affinity Day Spa & Salon, 1490 Cal Dr, Davison from 6-8 PM

Humane Society of Genesee County, G-3325 Dort Hwy, Burton from 5-7 PM

*********

There will be a Fall Harvest Spooktacular at Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary, 1518 University Ave from 5-7 PM on Friday the 30th featuring a car parade, photo stations, music, a book giveaway and more.

Also on October 30th and 31st, the Flint Community Players will be hosting a virtual radio drama of Night of the Living Dead. It's a free online performance at 7 PM on 10/30 and 1 PM on 10/31.

I'd love to see you all out at Trunks & Tails at the Humane Society of Genesee County on Friday night! I'll be there, in costume, with the Cars 108 van and lots of cats...and candy.

There's a lot to do this week, so enjoy it before the Christmas season takes over!
