The Gibraltar Trade Center announced on Sunday that it will be closing its doors after 37 years of being a weekend public market.

Driving down I94 one of the most iconic signs you see is the Gibraltar Trade Center, but after August 27th people looking to score deals on items such a memorabilia, car audio, and more will have to look elsewhere.

The announcement was made on Gibraltar Trade Center's website and stated the reason for closing its doors was due to the impact of online shopping. The building itself has been sold, and liquidation sales have already started.

Although the trade center will be closing, the Gibralter Rug and Furniture outlet located in the Universal Mall as well as the Gibralter Gun and Knife shows will continue to operate.
