Hold Up! Your $2 Bill Could Be Worth Thousands
Most people think $2 bills are rare…they’re not. They also think they’re only worth $2, but in some cases, they’re worth way more than you’d ever expect.
There’s a decent chance you’ve got one sitting somewhere and haven’t thought twice about it. You know the one…tucked away because you just can’t bring yourself to actually spend it.

Which $2 Bills Are Actually Worth Money?
To be totally transparent, most of them are still only worth $2, but some can be worth a lot more.
But even newer ones can have value if they’ve got something unique, like red seals from 1928 to 1963, a small star in the serial number, or some kind of printing error.
Even certain 1976 $2 bills can be worth more than face value if they’ve got unusual serial numbers.
What Should You Look For on Your $2 Bill?
This is the part that matters.
Check the year, look at the seal color, and pay attention to the serial number. If you see something weird, like repeating numbers or a star, it might be worth looking into.
And whatever you do, don’t beat it up. Condition matters more than you think, so store it in a book or something.
Most $2 bills are still just worth $2.
But every once in a while, one pops up that’s worth a lot more…so yeah, it might be worth checking that junk drawer.
