Seriously, This is the Best Meal in Michigan?

We are willing to support or agree with various ideas or opinions but we have to draw the line at accepting the meal that has been recently declared the best in the state.

The website Mashed recently had the daunting (sarcasm) task of finding the best meal that each state in the U.S. has to offer. First off, I don't think it's actually possible to do this as opinions and taste buds vary so much. However, they managed to put together a list of what they believed were the best meals from each state.

After listing state after state of the "best meals" that you'll find throughout the U.S., they got to Michigan. You won't believe what they say is the best meal in the state. Seriously, you won't believe it.

What is the Best Meal Found in Michigan?

Well, according to Mashed, the best meal in Michigan is the Coney Island dog. Seriously, a hot dog? That's the best meal in the entire state of Michigan? Coney dogs are fine and all but I would never consider eating one to be the best meal ever.

Coney Island style means a beef, not pork, dog in a steamed bun topped with all-meat chili, onions, and mustard.

It's self-evident, that the Coney Island competition in Detroit must be heavy. But nonetheless, the folks over at "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" recommend visiting National Coney Island just for the chili that tops the dog.

I know some people are very passionate about their Coney dogs but I think we can do better.
