Newborn Found Dead in Porta-Potty at Michigan Music Festival

This is one of those stories that’s just hard to wrap your head around.

According to WBNS, Michigan State Police are investigating after a newborn baby was found dead inside a porta-potty at Electric Forest over the weekend.

The baby’s remains were found Saturday morning in a porta-potty in the festival’s camping area. A worker doing routine cleaning made the horrific discovery.

And yeah…as disturbing as that sounds, that’s really all investigators are saying right now.

The baby was believed to be four weeks old or younger.

Michigan State Police Need Help Solving What Happened at Electric Forest

Right now, investigators are trying to figure out exactly what happened, and they’re asking anyone who may have seen something unusual in the camping area to come forward.

Police are also asking people not to jump to conclusions online, which feels pretty important here because you know how fast social media can run with a story like this. It’s easy for people to start filling in the blanks, but that doesn’t help anyone.
