Michigan Shelter Needs Donations to Feed Pets on Thanksgiving
I don’t care if you’re a pet person or not; this one might hit you right in the feels.
The Michigan Animal Rescue League in Pontiac is giving its shelter cats and dogs their very own Thanksgiving dinner. We’re talking pet-safe versions of holiday favorites like green beans, sweet potatoes, and other Thanksgiving goodies. All of this is happening so the animals can enjoy a special meal while they wait for their forever homes.
How You Can Help These Shelter Pets This Thanksgiving
Of course, for all of this to happen for all the dogs and cats, they could use a little help. You can sponsor a Thanksgiving meal for a shelter pet for 25 bucks. According to Fox 2 Detroit, that covers everything and helps MARL give these animals a little bit of comfort and some normalcy during what can be a pretty tough time of year for them.

While most of us are sitting down with family and stuffing our faces, these animals are still waiting for someone to rescue them. I mean, let’s be honest, they don’t exactly have a Thanksgiving table to beg at this year.
If you decide to do it, MARL will be posting photos and videos on their social media on Thanksgiving so you can actually see the cats and dogs enjoying their mini feasts. And yeah, it’s pretty hard to say no when you’re watching a shelter dog absolutely destroy a Thanksgiving plate.
It’s a small donation that makes a huge difference. How can you say no to those adorable faces?
