Top Thrill 2 is set to make its debut at Cedar Point in May.

Roller coaster enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for their first chance to ride the newly remodeled and redesigned Top Thrill 2 this summer at Cedar Point. It officially opens to the public on May 4th, 2024.

Top Thrill 2 is the tallest and fastest triple-launch strata coaster in the world. This insane ride will reach a top speed of 120 miles per hour and is 420 feet tall. On the first launch, riders will hit 74 miles per hour before rolling back to the start for the second launch. Riders are then blasted backward up a spire at 101 miles per hour at a 90-degree angle. After a bit of weightlessness, riders are then launched a third time. The final launch propels the ride vehicle at 120 miles per hour taking the rider up and over the 420-foot high track.

Cedar Point officially opens for the season on Saturday, May 4th. However, there are a few events scheduled before the park opens. On April 28th & 30th and May 1st & 2nd, Cedar Point will be hosting Top Thrill 2 Preview Events. Tickets for these events are extremely limited and only for Cedar Point Prestige, Gold, and Summer passholders.

I can't wait to ride Top Thrill 2! I have been a huge roller coaster fan all of my life and Cedar Point is the home to some of the best in the world.
