If this video is exactly what it looks like, there’s no way around it…it’s freaking disgusting.

A viral video out of Warren is blowing up online after a pet sitter was caught on camera allegedly slapping and kicking a dog she was supposed to be taking care of. Yeah, probably the last thing any pet owner would ever expect when hiring somebody to watch their dog.

The dog, a 6-year-old pit bull named Frankie, looked absolutely terrified in the video before eventually lunging and nipping at the sitter. And honestly, after being slapped and kicked, I don’t blame the dog one bit.

Dog Owner Says She Was Shocked After Seeing The Video

Frankie’s owner, Bobbie Brody, says she was on vacation when somebody sent her the footage. According to WXYZ, the pet sitter originally told her Frankie had bitten her after getting loose, but never mentioned the alleged abuse shown in the video. Of course, she didn't.

Warren Police Investigating Incident Caught On Camera

The video was reportedly recorded by a witness who immediately contacted police after seeing what was happening. Warren police confirmed the incident is now under active investigation.

Some people are also wondering why the person behind the camera didn’t step in. Look, some people are afraid to jump into situations like that, especially when you have no idea what kind of lunatic you could be dealing with. Yeah, you want to help the dog, but you also don’t want to end up getting a beatdown yourself in the process.

Frankie’s owner says she found the pet sitter through Rover.com, which is one of the more popular apps people use to hire dog walkers and pet sitters. As of now, Rover has not publicly commented on the situation.

Thankfully, Frankie is now safe and back home living his best life with his family.

Warning: Some may find the video difficult to watch.
